Kanaan of Abey Family Tree
This tree has been so organized in the form of sun rays that each ray confines each branch separately. The mark “o” under some names signifies either their passing away or the non-existence of any male offspring. The tree together with its history was originally compiled by IBRAHIM NAOUM KANAAN in the year 1924; He had it republished in 1962. He also composed the history of "Saydet Khaldeh" and the book "Libnan Fi El Taliah" and 'The History of Beirut until the year 1962". The tree was eventually updated by Antoine Habib Kanaan in Beirut. It was translated from Arabic to English by SAID NASRI KANAAN and his daughter Euginia during the period 1991-1994 while adding to the tree as many names as they could gather. Finaly, the ex- president of the Kanaan Family Association of Abey and after strenuous efforts for more than 13 years, could update as much as possible this family tree and reprint it in December 2003; and in order to keep the family linked together all over the world, he created and developed  a web site and launched it in may 2004.This web site is created and modified in july 2010.
