A new shrine of N D of Lourdes was offered by Mr Beshara Kamel on Ste Khalde’s premises near the upper grotto.Mr Kamel who wanted to honor SteMary & realize his vow rebuilt this summer a shrine there , first built in 1954 but destroyed during war . The inauguration took place on August 14, 2004 after the Feast Mass following a procession from church to upper grotto with the priests , the Shoueifat municipality president Mr Haitham El Jurdy & The Kanaan Family Association President Antoine Habib Kanaan & lots of pilgrims .
